30 Things I Wish I Could Tell My Little Sister on Her 30th Birthday

Today is June 2nd, my sister Ashlee’s birthday. Today she would have been 30 years old and as I sit here and type this there are tears in my eyes. In fact, there have been tears in my eyes all morning because I’m still sad. I still grieve the loss of my sister and what could and should have been. Some days are easier than others; today is not one of those days.

So here are the 30 things I wish I could tell my sister on her 30th birthday.

  2. Welcome to your 30’s! 30’s > 20’s all day

  3. I fixed Mom Mom Thomas’s phone so we 3-way FaceTime.

  4. Can you help me figure out how to contour my make up?

  5. Have you watched Dead to Me Season 2 yet?

  6. How about this pandemic? Some crazy shit huh? What phase of reopening are you in?

  7. I still can’t figure out how to tweet but I managed to figure out how to find out what’s trending.

  8. I’m having Taylors ham & gravy in your honor for dinner tonight.

  9. Planning a wedding is hard, can you believe I’m getting married?!

  10. What’s your address?

  11. I wish I had more time with you.

  12. My business has picked up, I think I’ll be able to hang on to my beanie baby collection for a little while longer.

  13. The Keys are open, when are you coming to visit next?

  14. Have you talked to Dad?

  15. Have you had those chocolate covered Oreo thins? They are the jam fresh out of the freezer.
